About

Llewellyn Lloyd Bruiners, known professionally as Wellyn, is a South African rapper, singer & songwriter, born on August 2, 2004, in Gqeberha, Eastern Cape. His musical journey traces back to his early exposure to his father's diverse music collection, which ranged from older classics to trending hits of the mid-2000s.

His musical journey was inspired by his father's extensive collection of music, where he explored various genres, including R&B. Influenced by artists like Chris Brown, Bow Wow, Bruno Mars, and notably, Eminem, Wellyn was captivated by the lyrical prowess displayed, particularly in Eminem's "Mockingbird." Intrigued by the transformative story of Eminem's journey from stuttering to flawless rap, Wellyn began crafting his own lyrics.

Though he initially took a serious interest in songwriting in 2018, Wellyn temporarily set it aside until 2020, when the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic provided him with the opportunity to revisit his passion.

Utilizing the newfound free time, Wellyn rekindled his dedication to music during this period, overcoming challenges and remaining committed to his craft. His artistry reflects a fusion of diverse musical influences, with a focus on storytelling and lyrical expression.
